Jessi Vikara (Tri-County LL) travelled to Warner Robins, GA for the Little League Majors Softball Regional. The team from Chesterfield Little League in Virginia won the regional and will play their first World Series game against the West Region winner on August 10th in Greenville, NC. Our own Niceville-Valparaiso Little League also participated in this tournament and was one of the final 4 teams to compete.

John Gleason (District 1) also travelled to Warner Robins, GA for the Little League Majors Baseball Regional. The team from Nolensville, TN won the tournament and will play the winner of the New England Region in their first World Series game on August 17th in Williamsport. John was selected to be the plate umpire for the Championship game!

Tony Weaver (District 1) travelled to Broadway, VA for the Junior League Baseball Regional. The team from Loudon South LL in South Riding, VA won the tournament. They will play the winner of the Central Region in their first World Series game in Taylor, Michigan on August 14th.

Ronnie McCoy (far right, Shalimar LL) travelled to Safety Harbor, FL for the Senior League Baseball Regional. The team from Fleet Park Little League in Norfolk, VA won the tournament and made it to the US Championship game in the World Series. Unfortunately, they fell one run short of advancing to the final. The team from the Caribbean Region won the Senior League World Series title.

Congratulations to our umpires for receiving these assignments and performing well!

If you or someone you know is interested in working some of these higher-level tournaments, reach out to your local Umpire in Chief or any Board Member!
