With the 2024 Little League tournament season wrapped up, four of our umpires return home having successfully represented the district in their respective tournaments.
Mike Bellino (Freeport LL) travelled to Warner Robins, GA for the Little League Majors Softball Regional. The team from Rowan County Little League in North Carolina won the regional and lost in the semi-final game against Louisiana. It was the second consecutive year Mike was selected to this tournament.
Jessi Vikara (Tri-County LL) travelled to Salisbury, NC for the Junior Softball Regional. Jessi was selected to be the plate umpire in the Championship game. The team from Jefferson County LL in West Virginia moved onto the World Series where they went 0-4 in their respective pool.
Ronnie McCoy (District 1, 2nd from left) travelled to Broadway, VA for the Junior League Baseball Regional. The team from Keystone LL in Florida won the regional and lost in the US Championship game against Michigan.
Bill Vikara (Tri-County LL, back row, left) travelled to Warner Robins, GA for the Little League Baseball Regional. Bill was selected to be one of the Crew Chiefs for the tournament and had 1st base in the Championship game. The team from Lake Mary Little League in Florida won the tournament went on to win the Little League Baseball World Championship in Williamsport.
