With the 2025 Little League tournament season wrapped up, five District 1 umpires have returned home having successfully represented the district in their respective tournaments, showcasing the high caliber of officiating talent in our area.
Regional and World Series Assignments

Tony Weaver (District 1/Baker LL - left) traveled to Kernersville, NC for the Intermediate Baseball Regional. The team from Irmo Little League in South Carolina won the regional and finished 2-2 in the World Series. Weaver was selected to umpire third base in the Championship Game, a testament to his skill and dedication.

Mike Bellino (District 1/Freeport LL – 2nd from left) officiated at the Little League Softball Regional in Warner Robins, GA, where the team from Lake Mary, FL claimed the regional title before posting a 2-2 record in the World Series. Bellino earned the prestigious assignment as plate umpire for the Championship Game. The tournament also featured a historic moment when Addison Bono from Lake Mary became the first Softball player to hit an "over the fence" home run at the Southeast Region Park, clearing the 225-foot fence distance.

Jessi Vikara (District 1/Tri-County LL) was selected for the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, NC, where she served as second base umpire in the Championship game. The team from West Suburban Little League in Johnstown, PA captured the World Series banner with a thrilling 1-0 victory over Floyds-Knobs, IN.

Ronnie McCoy (District 1/Destin LL-2nd from left) officiated the Little League Baseball Regional in Warner Robins, GA, witnessing an incredible comeback as the team from Irmo, South Carolina rallied in the bottom of the 6th inning of the Championship game to defeat the defending 2024 World Series Champions from Lake Mary, FL. South Carolina's resilience continued throughout the 2025 World Series, where they notched several dramatic come-from-behind victories.
